About Angry Zombie 2023

Angry Zombie 2023 is a physics-based shooting game built around ruined settlements and the undead hiding inside them. Each stage presents a cluster of wooden beams, stone blocks and platforms with zombies tucked among them, and a limited supply of shots to bring the whole thing down. Rather than fast reflexes, the game asks for judgement: work out which support is holding a structure up, then aim so that one shot does the work of three. Sessions are short and self-contained, so a stage can be finished in a minute or restarted immediately when a shot goes wide. What separates Angry Zombie 2023 from ordinary target practice is the demolition side of it, because a well-placed hit that collapses a roof onto several zombies at once counts for far more than picking them off individually.

How to Play Angry Zombie 2023

Aim with the mouse: hover to line up your shot, then click or drag to set the angle and power, and release to fire. On a touchscreen, drag and lift your finger instead. Keep an eye on the shot counter, since ammunition is limited rather than endless. Zombies crushed by falling debris count as cleared, so target the structure as well as the enemies themselves.

Tips and Tricks

Aim at the low supports holding a structure up rather than shooting at zombies directly; removing the base drops everything above it.
Treat your first shot as information. Note exactly where it landed and adjust the angle slightly, instead of guessing a completely new trajectory.
Look for zombies sitting under heavy stone or stacked blocks. One shot into a loaded pile can clear several at once and save ammunition for awkward corners.
If you are down to a final shot with two or more zombies still standing, restart the stage instead of firing hopefully. A clean run takes less time than finishing short.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to install anything to play?

No. Angry Zombie 2023 runs in the browser on Dubdoo, so there is nothing to download and no account to create.

Does it work on a phone or tablet?

Yes, the aiming controls translate directly to touch, so you can drag to set your angle and power and lift your finger to fire.

What happens if I run out of shots with zombies left?

The stage is not cleared, and you simply retry it. Wasted shots are the main thing standing between you and a finished level.

Is there a time limit on each stage?

The pressure comes from limited ammunition rather than a clock, so you can take as long as you need lining up a shot.

Do I need to be good at shooters to enjoy this?

Not really. Accuracy helps, but most of the difficulty is working out where a structure is weakest, which is closer to a puzzle than a test of reflexes.
