About TRIBAR

TRIBAR is a puzzle game about building a target shape using a limited number of moves. Each level shows you the figure you need to construct, and you build it by swiping in six directions to push pieces into place. The six way movement is what sets TRIBAR apart from grid puzzles that only allow four, because a piece can travel along diagonals you would not expect. The move limit is the real constraint. There is almost always a way to reach the target shape eventually, but reaching it within the allowance takes planning. Later levels combine more complex figures with tighter move counts, so the game shifts from experimenting freely to working the solution out before you make the first swipe.

How to Play TRIBAR

Swipe in any of the six available directions to move the pieces, using your finger on a touchscreen or by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Every swipe counts as one move against the level allowance shown on screen. There is usually an undo or restart option if a level goes wrong early.

Tips and Tricks

Work backwards from the target figure. Deciding which piece must land last often makes the whole order obvious.
Use the diagonal directions. Levels that seem impossible with only up, down, left and right usually depend on a diagonal you have not tried.
Restart early rather than pushing on. If your first two swipes were wrong, no amount of clever play afterwards will fit the move limit.
Count your moves against the allowance as you go. Knowing you have three left changes which route is worth attempting.
