About Pandjohng Solitaire

Pandjohng Solitaire is a tile-matching puzzle that borrows its shape from mahjong solitaire and hands the job of clearing the board to you. Each layout holds a panda waiting to be freed, and the run stretches across eighty levels, so eighty pandas in total. Progress comes from spotting matching pairs among the tiles that are free to move, then working down through the stack before the easy pairs run out. Jokers help when a board tightens up, and alongside the usual wild tiles there are jokers tied to individual suits, which changes how you weigh a risky match. Tapping the pandas themselves adds points and builds a strike bonus, so there is a small scoring layer sitting on top of the clearing. Sessions are short and self-contained, which suits a level or two between other things.

How to Play Pandjohng Solitaire

Play with the mouse: click one free tile, then click its match to remove the pair. On a touchscreen, tap instead. Tiles blocked on both sides or covered from above cannot be selected until the pieces above them are gone. Use a joker when no pair is visible, and click the pandas to collect points and build the strike bonus.

Tips and Tricks

Scan the whole board before your first match; a pair that opens up two or three fresh tiles is worth far more than the first pair you happen to notice.
Clear the tallest stacks and the deepest tiles early, since pieces sitting near the edges of a layout usually stay reachable for much longer.
Hold on to jokers, and especially the suit-specific ones, for boards where a tile you need is genuinely trapped rather than spending them on a match you could find yourself.
Once a strike bonus is running, keep matches coming without long pauses, because the extra points come from momentum rather than from any single clear.
