About Etano 2

Etano 2 is a side-scrolling arcade platformer built around careful jumping and route planning. Each stage hides a set of historic golden ornaments, and the exit door only matters once you have picked up every last one, so levels work as small collection puzzles rather than straight dashes to the finish. Standing between you and them are patrolling ground enemies, flying creatures that cut across your jump arcs, spike beds and open fire, all of which punish a mistimed landing. There are eight levels in total and they tighten steadily: early screens teach the spacing of a jump, later ones stack hazards so a single gap has to be crossed exactly. Sessions are short and repeatable, the kind you replay a screen at a time until the pattern clicks. It keeps the collect-and-escape structure of the original Etano.

How to Play Etano 2

Move left and right with the arrow keys or A and D, and jump with the up arrow, W or the spacebar. Sweep each level for golden ornaments, using jumps to clear spikes, fire and enemies rather than trying to push through them. Once the last ornament is collected, head for the exit door to load the next stage.

Tips and Tricks

Look at the whole screen before you move. Ornaments are often tucked above or below the obvious path, and knowing where they are saves a doubling-back run through hazards you have already survived.
Time your jumps against flying enemies instead of the ground. They move on a fixed pattern, so waiting one extra beat at the edge of a platform is usually safer than jumping the moment you arrive.
Land short rather than long. Aiming for the middle of a platform instead of the far lip gives you room to recover if a patrolling enemy turns towards you as you touch down.
When a later level defeats you repeatedly, break it into sections and learn one hazard at a time. The difficulty comes from sequences of threats, and each part is manageable once you know what follows it.
